Crash Team Racing Final Grand Prix: Key Art Design & Retouching

Partnering with two designers, we created the key art for Crash Team Racing’s final Grand Prix launch in February 2020, “Gasmoxia.”

The creative process involved producing screen shots of the environment, characters, and objects separately, then meticulously masking and compositing each layer. Detailed retouching was then the last touch for the final vibrant piece!

The key art for Crash Team Racing’s 6th Grand Prix “Winter Festival” celebrated bonus seasonal content including new tracks, characters, items, and challenges.

The creative process involved masking, compositing, and retouching. It was such a whimsical and festive piece to work on.

Crash Team Racing at E3: Track Level Retouching

For the E3 Conference in Los Angeles, I composited and retouched new track level images for their reveal at the event. The creative steps involved compositing individual elements and detailed retouching (special effects, re-masking, color correction) to create a cohesive final piece.

Crash Team Racing: Production Design

For the launch of the “Back N. Time” Grand Prix, I executed 24 digital assets for first party providers within a challenging deadline (around half a day).

Each asset had various dimensions, ranging from traditional 16:9 widescreen placements to more unique horizontal and vertical limitations.

To ensure approvals from all brand, marketing, and legal teams, each asset required careful customization of character placement, retouching, and “safe area” requirements per each client.
